By addressing challenges like unpredictable volumes and staffing shortages, the initiative reduced wait times to six minutes, improved patient satisfaction, and supported understaffed clinics.
Dorsa Barzin – Engaging different populations within case management: A case study
Dorsa Barzin, Senior VP of Strategy at The Public Interest Company, explored patient engagement through a case study, emphasizing micro and macro strategies. She highlighted tools like the Patient Activation Measure (PAM) to identify where intervention can have the greatest impact and discussed barriers like health literacy and social determinants.

Faced with increasing call volumes and limited self-service options, Piedmont partnered with Hyro to deploy a virtual assistant.
