Fletcher students and staff get virtual health care access
Oct 5, 2020Fletcher Technical Community College students, faculty and staff now have round-the-clock access to health care thanks to new technology.
The college announced that its Virtual Wellness Center is providing virtual doctor’s visits at Fletcher’s Schriever and Thibodaux campuses.
The innovative technology, called a TytoCare health kit, allows doctors to check your temperature, examine your heart and lungs, throat, ears, take a photo of your skin, monitor blood pressure or check oxygen levels without actually going to a doctor’s office, officials said.
The device is sanitized before and after use and safety covers are provided, officials said.
